Latte vs. Mocha

Difference between a Latte and a Mocha

Lattes and mochas are two types of coffee that are very popular these days. Due to their similar nature, those that aren’t really coffee lovers won’t notice the difference but those that are can easily determine how one differs from the other. These differences include the coffee’s taste, nature, and properties.

What is a Latte?

A latte is a type of coffee whose main ingredients are coffee and milk. It is often topped with milky foam when served. Lattes are actually base mixes, which means that they are the basis of both café mochas and café lattes. Adding chocolate to the latte makes it café mocha while adding foams of milk makes it a café latte.

What is Mocha?

Mocha is a type of coffee that uses a specific kind of chocolate for extra flavor. Its main ingredients are coffee and chocolate instead of coffee and milk. Café mochas are usually served with whipped creams on top. These creams come in different flavors, the most important being chocolate.
