Difference Between Aleve and Ibuprofen
Today people take pain killer without the consultation. Ibuprofen and Aleve are the two well known pain killer among many such as aspirin etc. People take them whenever they feel pain in their body, generally pain in neck, head and back etc. Ibuprofen and Aleve are considered the most selling pain killer at the medical stores. People so much believe their capacity to relieve the pain that they buy them like the grocery.

Ibuprofen is probably one of the most common of drugs which people consume without thinking over it so as to get the relieved from pain. It comes in the market with a few brand names such as Motrin, Advil but all these have the same effect negative or positive. It reduces the production of prostaglandins as aspirins do. In this way it functions like aspirin. But stomach lining and esophagus get reduced by Ibuprofen rather than by aspirin. Thus ibuprofen is more useful than others for pain relieving in case fo people suffering from ulcer and acid.
A generic drug naproxen comes under the brand name of Aleve. When we talk of Aleve, we are talking of naproxen. Its functions in the body can be compared with that of Ibuprofen. Nobody ask for naproxen as the Aleve has become so much a popular name. Even some do not know at all that when they are taking Aleve, what they are taking in real. People keep it in pockets so as to have it as soon as they feel pain in a body part. It is an anti-inflammatory drug that can relieve headache quickly. Women also take it for menstrual cramps’ relief.
Difference between Aleve and Ibuprofen
Ibuprofen and Aleve are known as non-steroidal drugs. They are called NSAID. They are so common that people can buy them without the doctor’s consultation. They are known to relieve toothache, backache, headache, cold, arthritis and menstrual cramps. Ibuprofen is sold under the brand name Advil while naproxen is sold under the brand name Aleve. 200mg and 400mg dosage of these two drugs are sold freely in the market. For the bigger dosage, a prescription from the doctor is needed. As they are NSAIDs, they increase the danger of heart failure if a person takes them regularly in unlimited amount. They can also cause gastric problems. But Aleve provides pain relief longer than Ibuprofen.
