Difference Between Android 2.3 Gingerbread and Android Ice Cream

Gingerbread is an Android 2.3 version that was released in December 2011. However, very few devices are made from the Gingerbread series. Even with that being said, the success of the 2.3 and 3.0 version of Honeycomb still leaves room for the new platform of mobile phones that is soon to tip the scale. This new version of honeycomb called the Ice Cream, or the Ice Cream Sandwich. The new phone is scheduled to come out of hiding in April 2011. The new version of Android is a combination of both the Gingerbread and the Honeycomb. If Android is to keep up with other fast developing companies they need to create yet another design of Honeycomb devices. As the Androids, seem to be their most popular model of phones and tablets.

The Ice Cream is an integrated version of the Androids 2.3.1, 2.3.2., 2.3.3 and has promises of additional Honeycomb features. The new features support dual multicore processors, and new connection options for media rich enterprises with exceptional enhancements.
