Difference between Kefir and Yogurt

Kefir and yogurt are both milk products that are considered the same by most people. Although they have a common taste and are similar in other qualities, they are still different from each other.

What is Kefir?

Kefir’s fermentation process involves both yeast and bacteria, which actually makes it more nutritious than yogurt. Moreover, the bacteria used in Kefir are also friendlier than those used in yogurt. Due to its smaller size, kefir is more easily digested than yogurt. Because of this, they are more preferred for children and older people. Kefir may also be used to cleanse the intestinal tracks and to maintain a healthy colon.

What is Yogurt?

Unlike kefir, which involves both yeast and bacteria, yogurt’s fermentation process only involves bacteria. Immunization of fresh milk with another preparation of yogurt can be possible and it can help clean the digestive system by nourishing the friendly bacteria that are present in it.
