Difference Between Aceclofenac and Diclofenac

Diclofenac and aceclofenac are pain relievers and are NSAIDs or Non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs. Both these drugs work against and blocks COX or cyclo oxygenase enzyme for reducing the production of inflammatory mediators like prostaglandins. Inflammation is characterized by swelling, loss of function, redness and warmness and all these symptoms can be reduced by the use of these drugs.

Pain is controlled by the use of pain killers and Diclofenac has been used as a pain killer for a long period and it is an effective antipyretic drug as well which is effective against fevers caused due to cancers. This drug must be taken with care and strictly after eating something else it may cause gastric ulcer or pain in abdomen. There are some proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole or H2 receptor blockers like famotidine which are used for controlling gastritis caused because of these NSAIDs.

Aceclofec has higher potency than Diclofenac and is structurally different as well.
