Difference Between Blinds and Curtains
To allow the fresh air and light in the rooms, almost every home has different types of windows and ventilators. We need certain amount of light and air in our house. We do not want sunlight always in our house. For example, in summers less sunlight is needed. So, we control the sunlight with certain methods and means. Different things are used to cover the windows to prevent unnecessary light. Blinds and curtains are such things with which we cover the windows. Blinds are modern means and have an elegant look. On the other hand curtains are traditional and have no so elegant look. More and more people use blinds in place of curtains nowadays.
When one buys a new house, first of all he changes the curtains on the windows. The choice between curtains and blinds should be make carefully after consideration as they differ from each other in terms of requirement of light and air and price. In the matter of look both are different.
Blinds are controlled by a chord attached to it. We can open and close the blind as per sour need using that chord. The blinds look very elegant in comparison to curtains. Curtains have to be adjusted. They look not so elegant. They are made of cloth and come in different colors and designs. They are in different qualities depending on your budget. On the other hand, blinds are made of wood, plastic and some other substances. Curtains are easily purchased and installed. On the other hand blinds are carefully chosen as per the requirement of decor. An expert is needed to install the blinds. One advantage with curtains is that they can be washed and ironed when there is need. Blinds are installed permanently and cannot be easily removed for washing.
