You can find Jim Beam Whiskey and Jack Daniels Whiskey in your favorite grocery stores. It means that you are in a state where supermarkets are allowed to sell them. Both of them belong to the whiskey family. They are prepared by the procedure involving fermentation of grains and storing the drink in oak barrels.

In fact Jim Beam’s distillery was started in form of family business and has continued to run for seven generations. Today Jim Beam is the most popular brands of bourbon whiskey.  Jim Beam, like all other brands, has been given the tag ‘America’s Native’ spirit. It means that it has to follow manufacturing rules and regulations set by the US government. The regulation includes that its aging should be minimum 2 years.

Jack Daniels Whiskey

Jack Daniels originated in Tennessee. It is a brand of whiskey with inclination towards the sour mash side. It has smoother taste because of its filtering process. Some people are of the opinion that Jack Daniels is the expensive liquor which costs almost double compared to Jim Beam.

Difference between Jim Beam and Jack Daniels Whiskey

Let us see how these two brands of whiskey are different from each other. They differ regarding their origin. Jim ‘Beam’ has come from Kentucky whereas ‘Jack Daniels’ has come from Tennessee. Jack Daniels tastes smoother while Jim Beam is more alcoholic. Although both the brands are popular whiskeys, Jim Beam is cheaper than Jack Daniels. Difference is also there regarding their aging process. Jack Daniels is aged lesser than Jim Beam.  Jim Beam passes through the aging process in oak barrels for a minimum of four years duration while the government’s requirement is two years. Their flavors are also different.  Difference exists regarding their prices. Jack Daniel is  more expensive than Jim Beam.
