The (BMI) – body mass index of a person who is overweight ranges from 25.0 to 29.9. However, in comparison to mass when fat is stored in the body then the condition is called obesity. An obese person has a BMI of 30.0 to 39.9. One with an excess of BMI of 40.0 or higher is exceptionally obese. BMI is nothing but a process utilizing weight and height to assess the normal fat amount for a person, to do his daily activities. Calculation of BMI takes place by division of weight by height.

Therefore, overweight as a vital factor, is now found in more or less all age groups. Obesity however is pretty similar to the state of overweight. Overweight is when a person has excess fat than what is crucial for the proper execution of organs. Our bodies need fat for the energy for the work we do every day, for our immunity, reproduction, hormones. Obesity is caused by the accumulation of excess fat.
