Smartphone is a mobile device with extra computational facilities and advanced connectivity when it is compared to other contemporary phones. If it is powered by Android; a Linux kernel based popular operating system and has QWERTY keyboard, it is then undoubtedly the best portable device in this universe.

As android based QWERTY Smartphone is gaining popularity day by day, HTC and Motorola, the two sole most giant android manufacturers; are stepping towards QWERTY smartphones. Already Motorola has released Motorola Droid 3 and HTC is going to release HTC Doubleshot very soon.

Mainly there are lots of similarities between Motorola Droid 3 and HTC Doubleshot (in USA it is called MyTouch 4G slide).Both of them is powered by Gingerbread, the 2.3 version of Android. The processor of both is dual-core. But some special features distinguish between the two smartphones. Motorola Droid 3 is a 3rd generation phone where HTC Doubleshot is of 4th generation. In this sense, HTC Doubleshot is far better than the Motorola Droid 3.  The name Doubleshot is for its double camera by which 3D pictures can be captured. But there is no such feature in Motorola Droid 3.

The integrated GPU (Adreno 220) of HTC Doubleshot makes the view crystal clear and it supports to play high graphics games. The clock speed of HTC Doubleshot is 20% more than MotorolaDroid 3. So, HTC Doubleshot will work faster than Droid 3. Motorola Droid 3 has an OMAP 4 on board and undoubtedly it is the best in modern technology. Already Motorola Droid 3 hits in the market and gain much popularity with its larger screen and high resolution display. It is very difficult to say which is best. Time will say who will be the king of QWERTY Smartphone.
