Difference Between Imagination and Intuition

These two words intuition and imagination are very confusing. However this article will clarify all the confusions between the two words and highlight the differences between these two words.

Imagination is the capacity to construct and build up senses, images in one’s mind. Imagination responds to one’s own wishes and desires. With the help of imagination, people can envisage different concepts and ideas, bits and pieces of which are there in their mind. Imagination also helps in the process of learning as we tend to relate certain concepts and ideas with different images and senses. There are some people who feel the world of imagination is a safe haven where they can be safe with comfortable. Children are often found to depict different characters and scenes they have seen or read.

However intuition is the ability of a person to get knowledge without having any solid data on which the conclusion is based. Otherwise called gut feeling or insight, intuition is useful when you are in a situation where you need to decide something. An intuitive person will be taking a decision without having any solid reason or logic behind taking such a decision. You may not have evidence to support your decision also. Intuition is all about the feeling you have about the situation. This is why intuitive people say that they have a bad or good feeling about a situation, so they have made that particular decision.
