Difference Between Orthodontics and Orthopedics

Orthodontics refers to the specific field of dentistry that focuses on the study and treatment of improper bites (malocclusions), the irregular teeth, and misappropriates in jaw bite. On the contrary, Orthopedics deals with musculoskeletal problems. It tries to find new ways so that you can handle Musculoskeletal problems successfully. It has special focus on the muscles, bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and nerves in the body. The branch was originally established to investigate and treat disability in children, but now has grown into a full-fledged health care for both children and adults

Some common Orthodontic Treatment: -.

Comprehensive Treatment: Used for treatment of malocclusion

Interceptive Treatment involves a process of extraction of teeth in a planned manner with the use of simple equipment

Fixing of braces: Involves the use of various types of braces to restore the position of teeth

Treatment with other orthodontic appliances: treatment with other devices includes fixed equipment, mobile devices, rapid expansion, quad Felix, pendulum, and so on.

Some of the common handling aids:

Arthroscopy: the process where a camera and other special equipment is used to navigate within a section to monitor and treat the injury

Joint Replacement:. This is done by setting prosthesis in the arthritic joint or joint that is damaged
