Difference Between Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo and Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc

Sony Ericsson launched its new series of smartphones in the beginning of 2011: Xperia Neo and Xperia Arc along with Xperia Duo and Xperia Play. It launched Xperia Arc in January and Xperia Neo in the 2nd week of February. Both of these are similar in their construction. SE’S Xperia series smartphones include Android operating system. Similarly Neo and Arc run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). They have 1GHz Qualcomm processors which will be from some other version. One would be able to experience movies and action games smoothly with the possible 1GHz MSM 8X55 with Adreno 205 GPU processor in Xperia Neo which supports Adobe Flash. It is hoped that it will be 4 times better and faster than Adreno 200 used in 1GHz Qualcomm QSD 8250 processor of Xperia Arc.

The size of the display is different in both but with the same Sony Mobile Bravia Engine and FWVGA resolution technology. The size of the display in Neo which has a 4” multitouch screen with 854×480 pixels resolution is smaller than that of Arc which has 4.2” display. Another difference is in the body design. Neo has a concave design and the dimensions are smaller than Xperia Arc, which is Arc in shape with 8.7mm measurement.

Apart from the front facing VGA camera for video calling in Neo other features are similar. In Arc a camera sensor known as Exmor R for mobile is used that enhances low light filming which is also expected from Neo. It will be presented in the Mobile World Congress on 13th February 2011 to know its full review.
