Difference Between Accuracy and Precision
Accuracy and precision are the terms which you come across in physics and engineering. If we talk broadly then accuracy is getting exactly what is expected and precision is the way to achieve accuracy by minimizing errors.
This means that you need to have precision in your work to get accuracy. There is nothing to be confused about. For example if you are doing an experiment to get a particular result. You need to do it until you get absolutely accurate result and for achieving it you need to increase precision in performing the experiment.
Systems of measurement need to be accurate and precise. In day to day life we sacrifice accuracy for convenience and this is completely acceptable if it is not affecting the results too much. You can be accurate but may not be precise and you may be precise but not accurate.
