Difference between Atom And Element
The word atom was placed at the beginning of 19th century with the concept of the smallest known units of time. Today, however, atoms are the smallest units available. Atoms consist of a core, which is at the center of the atom, and negatively charged electrons (e electron), which hover around the nucleus. The core is composed of positively charged protons (e Proto) and unladen neutrons (e. neut Ron). Finally the proton and neutron circuits are composed of quarks (E. Quark). Number of electrons and protons are equal in the unladen atoms while each element can have atoms with different numbers of neutrons and protons. The best example is isotopes.
Elements are today 118 in number. Element numbers 1-94 have been found in nature but the element numbers 95-118 are only consequences of nuclear reactions. Only 81 elements are stable. Element number 1-83 are known to be stable with the exception of elements 43 (teknitín) and 61 (prometín).
Elements are usually installed in Table to make it easy to evaluate the relationship between chemical substances and their electronic structure. Elements is said to rank in batches and columns by increasing atomic number (e. atomic number), it is the number of protons in the basic elements, from left to right and down the table. Elements with the same number of valence electrons are together in a class.
Each element consists of atoms that are said to have same number of protons, but different elements have different numbers of protons in the nucleus. Elements with atomic number have a single proton (and an electron when it is unladen), elements with atomic number 112 has 112 protons (and 112 electrons when it is unladen), and so on. Element number 1 is called the hydrogen and has lowest number of electrons.
