Two of the best fruits you can eat are blackberries and blueberries because they are rich in antioxidants. These antioxidants are very beneficial for your health because they eliminate free radicals, unstable oxygen molecules that can cause disease. Free radicals are also responsible for aging.

Blackberry

The scientific name of the blackberry is Rubus fructicosis and is one of the three famous berries in the Rubus genus. There are over a thousand berries in this genus, but only the blackberry, dewberry and the raspberry offer the most health benefits. They are rich in Vitamin C, which is an exceptional agent for fighting the development of cancer cells in the body. They are also a source of fiber and since they do not contain any calories or fat, they are wonderful fruits to eat for weight loss.

Blueberry

Bilberries and cranberries join the blueberry as part of the genus Vaccinium Cyanococcus.
