Duck has webbed claws which are useful for swimming. A duck normally lives in water. They have oil glands that keep their feathers waterproof. They have webbed feet for swimming in the water. A baby hen is called chicken. It has strong claws. Three of its toes are in the front and one is at the back. It is interesting to note that the claws of the chicken help the chicken in scraping the earth and this is why it is categorized into a scratching bird. Chicken can fly short distances only. They usually walk. In fact a chicken is often regarded as a domestic fowl. Its flesh is eaten as a kind of food.
