Difference between green tea and white tea

Green tea has evolved as healthy habit. Its rich in antioxidants and that is why most of health freaks are completely gaga over it.  When it comes to antioxidants, white tea has its supporters in place. It has three times higher concentration of antioxidants than green tea. For instance, if you know that orange juice is rich in antioxidants, then you may be surprised to hear that white tea has 12 times higher antioxidants than a cup of orange juice!

Both green tea and white tea are variants of common tea but their taste and manufacturing process is different. The process of partial fermentation and oxidation is needed to manufacture green tea while to manufacture white tea, these two processes are simply not needed. One thing should be noted that both these types of tea contain their antioxidants successfully.

White tea is made from young tea leaves and buds whereas green tea is made of little grown-up leaves. White tea has very less amount of caffeine. Individuals, who dislike caffeine, find the taste of white tea soothing and relaxing. It is also expensive than green tea. The other difference between these two is the taste. White tea is silky and smooth. The taste is subtle whereas the green tea tastes somewhat kind of grassy.
