The HTC Sensation and the Samsung Galaxy S II are super phones that both have a lot of great features including Mobile High Link Interfaces, amazing cameras, and massive displays. Although both phones are impressive and similar to each other, they still have their own differences.
What is HTC Sensation?
HTC Sensation is a phone that HTC manufactured in reply to the Samsung Galaxy S II, which has beaten the performance benchmarks of all the other phones. It has a 4.3-inch qHD display with a 540 x 960 pixel resolution, which means that it has a good resolution and display. It also has a 126.1 x 65.4 x 11.3 mm dimension and a weight of 148 g. It uses a Gorilla Glass display tech and is multi-touch capable with an auto-rotate function and sensors for auto turn-offs and HTC Sense v3.0 UI. Its Sense UI is actually one of the best looking and easiest to use on Android devices. HTC Sensation 4G supports HSDPA 14.4 Mbps and HSUPA 5.76 Mbps. It has 768 MB RAM and a 1 GB internal ROM that can support 32 GB micro SD’s. The product also comes with an 8 GB micro SD. It also comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot support, and Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP and micro USB version 2.0. Its camera is 8 megapixels and has autofocus, dual-LED flash, touch-focus, image stabilization, face detection, instant capture features, and a geo-tagging functionality. It can also capture videos 1080p at 30fps and has a stereo sound recording feature and a secondary VGA camera. Its dual-LED flash actually allows it to capture night shots at a good quality. HTC Sensation operates under the Android OS version 2.3 Gingerbread. It also has a 1.2 GHz dual-core Adreno 220 GPU, Qualcomm MSM 8260 Snapdragon processor. Its battery is Li-Ion 1520 mAh and has a standby time of 350 hours and a talk time of around 8 and a half hours, much less than the Samsung Galaxy S II. This is because their battery is smaller and they have a power hungry LCD. HTC Sensation will be released in the US sometime in late May or in June.
What is Samsung Galaxy S II?
The Samsung Galaxy S II has beaten the performance benchmarks of all the other phones for the past several months. It features a 480 x 800 pixel Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen with a rich contrast and incredible vibrancy. Although it has a lower resolution than the HTC Sensation, its display is arguably the best in mobile devices. It has a 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5 mm dimension and a weight of 116 g, which makes it very light. Like the HTC Sensation, it uses a Gorilla Glass display, is multi-touch, and has sensors for auto-rotates and auto turn-offs. Unlike the Sensation, however, it features TouchWiz 4.0 UI, which makes it more impressive for some people. It supports HSDPA 21 Mbps and HSUPA 5.76 Mbps, and has a 16 GB or 32 GB storage. It also has 1 GB RAM and a micro SD that can support up to 32 GB. Furthermore, it has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot support, Bluetooth version 3.0+HS and a micro USB version 2.0 (MHL). Its camera is very similar to the HTC Sensation’s but it only has an LED flash instead of a dual-LED flash and its secondary camera has a higher resolution. Its camera is great for capturing greater dynamic range and fills out the spectrum better. Like the Sensation, it uses the Android OS version 2.3 Gingerbread as its operating system. Samsung Galaxy S II is easily rooted and has dual-core 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 with a Mail-400MP GPU, and an Orion chipset processor. It uses a Li-Ion 1650 mAh battery. This, and the fact that its display has power saving features, gives it a talk time of 9 hours and a standby time of up to 576 hours. Samsung Galaxy S II is expected to come out around late May.
