The JSF2 is similar to the seam3 in the sense that they both integrate technologies to create web applications. The difference is in what technologies they use.

What is Seam3 Application Framework?

It is used to create internet applications by integrating useful technologies which are combined to give easier, simpler, and more sophisticated tooling experience to the developers. These technologies are the JavaServer Faces (JSF), Enterprise Java Beans (EJB 3.0), Java Persistence (JPA), Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX), and the Business Process Management (BPM). Seam3 is designed for simplicity in creating applications.
