Difference Between Nikon D5100 and Nikon D7000

Nikon is the brand name of camera. Nikon D5100 is the latest model. These two models of camera attract people. They both share the features such as 16 mega pixel and video capability of 1080 P. The inner properties are, however, different in each of them. Let us read to find out the difference between the two.

Nikon D5100

The D5100 has a 16.2 camera along with a DX-format CMOS sensor. Its LCD is 3.0 inches in size. It has display capability of 920,000 dots. Other features include 11 Auto Focus pointers along with 3D tracking featured. It supports HD modes of 1080 Pixels and 720 Pixels. It also supports Wide Video Array Graphics or (WVGA). The main feature of this model of camera is that it has filters for in-camera effects used in both video mode and still mode.

Nikon D7000

Nikon D7000 is another model in the series of the cameras. Some of the main features provided by the camera are same as of Nikon D5100. The main features include 16.2 MP cameras with CMOS Sensor, the ability to record high definition videos, 1080P capabilities of video recording etc. One of the best features is that one can get to record the perfect audio as it has a mike jack which can be used to attach external microphone to the camera. It has a 39 Auto Focus points with 3-D tracking. The camera has a 3 inch LCD which displays  921,000 dots. The camera includes two slots which are available to use data storage cards enhancing the memory so much that it never ends.

What is the difference between Nikon D5100 and Nikon D7000?

Considering the D7000 and D5100, both the cameras by Nikon are different in many ways.

The D7000 and D5100 by Nikon are different in many of its aspects when considered in detail. Their auto focus points are different.  D7000 provides 39 Auto Focus Points while Nikon D5100 provides 11 Auto Focus. This means that D7000 to focus the object within frame in a better way. The Viewfinder in D7000is 0.62 as compared to the 0.51 in D5100. This means that d7000 allows images to be seen larger. D7000 comes with a built in focus motor while the D5100 version has no such facility. The battery life is also different in the two models. The life of battery is better in D7000 than the battery life of D5100. As a result D7000 can take 11050 shots while the other can take 660 shots before the batters goes. People who has a limited budget like to buy D5100. It does not mean that it is cheap camera. But the features of D7000 are more attractive.
