Difference between Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Ace

If you remain updated about the latest gadgets in the market then Samsung Galaxy Ace and Galaxy S must have certainly caught your attention. These are two trendiest smart phones in the market at the moment. Galaxy Ace, expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2011 in the market, looks like smaller version of Galaxy S.  Both these are great phones belong to the family of Samsung Galaxy.

Here are some points to help you in comparing them in terms of different technical aspects and the expectations that you can have from these phones:

Processor– Galaxy Ace has an 800 MHz processor while Galaxy S will have 1 GHz Hmmingbird processor.

Screen– Galaxy Ace has 3.5” HVGA screen with resolution of 320X480 pixels with while Galaxy S 4” screen with touch screen display.

Camera: Both have 5 MP cameras but in Galaxy S it has more advanced features like 720 high definition video, stop motion, Layer reality browser, 1.3 MP VGA camera which is front facing so that it can support video calling and many more attractive features.

Applications: Galaxy ace supports ThinkFree which is an office application that allows you to work on your office documents with flexibility to edit, change or create new documents. It also supports Google voice search.

Memory and storage: Galaxy S has 8 GB/16Gb internal flash memory and 512 MB RAM which is too large for you to save all your favorite games, applications, songs, videos and pictures. Ace is smaller but trendy and simple with elegant looks.

Other features: Galaxy S is wi-fi enabled has blue tooth, FM with RDS and you can find all these features in galaxy Ace as well. Galaxy Ace also has accelerometer, proximity sensor and digital compass.

In terms of advanced feature Galaxy S scores much higher with exclusive features like 720p@30fps HD video recording and play, supports DivX, XviD and WMV. But this does not mean that Ace will lag behind in the competition.

Both these phones have their own market and they do not compete with each other. People who expect a compact, easy to handle and a good looking phone would go for Ace while people who prefer hi-tech phones with all the latest technology may find Galaxy S a better option.
