It comes from a variety of corn which is white in color which is why this flour is white in color. It has less of vitamin B in it and does not taste as sweet which is a characteristic of yellow corn meal. It is mainly grown in southern states and that’s why this meal sells especially in the southern states.
As the name suggests, this cornmeal is yellow grain is more popular and cultivated throughout the country. As rich in vitamin B and also sweet, it is preferred by people to make breads and pastries. The breads made from yellow corn meal have more aromatic and stronger in taste.
The difference between White cornmeal and yellow cornmeal
Both cornmeal meals is used interchangeably as almost all the recipes can take advantage of them; there are some differences between them, which are estimated by people who have tasted both.

Yellow corn flour has a distinct taste, which lacks the white cornmeal. Yellow cornmeal is as strong in taste.
